Aloha! Born and raised in my family's farm in a private valley on Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, I have always been curious about the world outside of my little rock in the middle of the ocean. When I first had the chance to explore, I went to the American Midwest for a few years, with a brief visit to Ontario, Canada. After returning to Hawaiʻi for a short while, I moved to Southern California and traveled extensively up and down the California coast. Then I decided to head to the East Coast for a year, and explored from Florida up to New York. I'm back in Hawaiʻi now, planning my next great adventure, this time internationally.

I've traveled alone and with other's in my adventures. I have a firm belief that life is best experienced when shared, but there are times when we need to completely detach from everything and enjoy a moment of solitude. I yearn to learn about people and cultures often misunderstood, and believe the best way to do that is to experience it firsthand.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to make connections. To get in touch with people whom, like myself, want to explore places from the perspective of those who call that place "home". For those who find themselves on my little island, I would love to show you my favorite hiking trails, hidden freediving spots, music venues, or even places to grab a bite or a beer!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During my time in Minnesota, I was diagnosed with stage IV/metastatic cancer. Through multiple battles, I have persevered and gained a new outlook on life, with a renewed philosophy and passion for living that I love to share with those I am able to.

What can I share with you? I love cooking. Even more so, I love learning how to cook new things. Over dinner, some good music and drinks, I'd love to learn about you and where you're from.
