ABOUT ME

Hello! Bonjour! I'm always curious with the world outside, other culture, and its diversity. I'm an ambivert,but quite adaptive and easy to get along with new environment.
I really love traveling to cities or rural area inside my country, and love trying to live just like local people, eat like them, sleep like them and see about their everyday life. I do a job that I really like as a demography research assistant and this job sent me to many corners of my country. I write some stories about it in a blog sometimes. I love anthropology discussion and brainstorming ^__^ (in a fun way surely...).

Hmmm one thing that you should know about me is I really love to pampering my tounge with good food :), and I'd love to try new food from everywhere even its a bit extreme food.

Anyway my real name is Harumi, or my friend used to call me Ndanda.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host travelers, surf in some places, and I'd love to share travel or cultural story with many travelers especially from Couchsurfing. I wanna feel their travel spirit and hopefully it will infect me alot for my next journey.

I met many great people from here since 2008, and some of them became my best friends. Its priceless!!

Interests

I love outdoor activities like trekking, hiking, caving, camping, snorkeling or just going to the beach. I love to have discussion about culture, art, music, spiritual and how to survive life *seriously* LOL. Meeting people from other country and other ethnic group to make my brain wandering that there are so many things happen in this world .

Music, Movies, and Books

Well i'm not really selective for movies, as long as its watchable then I'll watch it. I watch most of American movies in any kind of genre like action, fantasy, romance, science fiction and horror. I also like to watch French movies, Japanese movies and Korean historical drama.

I listen all of easy listening world music and some surrealistic contemporary music.

Books? My favorites are (random!) but mostly I read traveler story, cultural book or lonely planet :P

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Captured a big twister in my own camera
- Oscillated in the most spooky spot in bintuni papua for 7 hours with big waves hit us
- 300 km motorbiking from chiang mai to pai and back with 10 degree cold weather
- biking cross country from Belgium to Netherland and back, eh ! nevermind it just 30 km though! :P

I can teach Indonesian and Javanese language, Indonesian history especially about Yogyakarta, Indonesia food ,cullinary things ^_^
