About Me
Hi! My name is Kelci and I'm an American student completing my Bachelor's degree in Aalborg, Denmark.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel and know how expensive all the costs can end up being. I'd love to have the opportunity to see more of Europe on a budget, and would love to provide that same opportunity to others. I think Couchsurfing is a great way to do that while meeting new people and being able to get true insight into the foreign area!
Interests
I am incredibly passionate about health and wellness from a holistic perspective. I've learned that the most important thing in life is loving yourself and taking care of your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. How I've chosen to do this is through maintaining my own fitness routines and incorporating frequent yoga practices.
I have a great interest in Buddhist philosophy and am hoping to learn more about the chakras, as well. My own knowledge on these subjects is limited, but I love the ideologies and philosophies these topics present and think I would love to be more immersed in them.
I also have a very strong interest in human rights and international law. I hope someday to attend law school and advocate for developing societies, or work with human rights issues.
Otherwise, I quite like trying new cultural food and drink. I love to cook and believe cooking brings people together, so cooking cultural foods together is a great way to get to know others. Plus, I can never say no to a good dessert or a glass of wine :)

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC: I love indie music, and the new "chillstep" revolution. I love listening to acoustic covers, as well. I'll listen to just about any music, and I appreciate most genres.
Some of my favorite bands: Alt-J, The Kooks, The Vaccines, Bastille, Kimbra, Joywave
MOVIES: I love watching independent films. Of course I can enjoy a good comedy or romance, but I love the substance and the unique perspective an independent film provides.
Some of my favorite films: A Bag of Hammers, Garden State, Wish I Was Here, Chef, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, Kings of Summer
BOOKS: Sadly, I haven't had quite a lot of time for reading recently. However, I have a few old-time favorites I could read over and over again... my favorites might be unusual choices at first glance so it would be interesting to meet someone who has read the same selections :)
Some of my favorite books: Full Tilt by Neal Shusterman; Attachments by Rainbow Rowell; Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel by Virginia Lee Burton
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I look forward to great adventures and hope this section fills up fast :)
I think one amazing thing I've done so far is take my education by storm. I plan to obtain my Bachelor's degree only a few months after turning 20 years old and hope to attend law school afterwards.
