*Would like to note we had two recent couch surfer experiences where first we were requested for money to stay at a home last minute, this man is in my references who left the numbs down emojis.. never met him nor stayed there. He continued to text my number I gave him for contacting for stay with threats to meet up after I left a requests for fellow travelers to know they shouldn’t be paying money a night to stay somewhere that is a community app. He then somehow found out the next host we found and let us know.. This host was communicating to s while he said he was at work until 10, we asked if it was possible to head over in an hour as we had no AC if that would be okay, he replied he wasn’t home but his roommate would be, we then traveled an hour to arrive to a roommate that wasn’t mentioned there, threatening to shoot us, we asked if it was ok just to charge our phone a bit to find another place and he said yes then continued harassing us
and kicking us out. We told our host Zhen what happened only for him to repy with what the fuck i was on a hike and never saw any messages from you.. Which doesn’t make sense because he was texting us.. Ans said he was at work.. We simply sat on this mans couch to charge our phone and then was left a reference from him, mind who we never met, saying we stunk like we never showered in 20 years.. rude? Ps we shower every day lol But anyways said I told someone? I was groped.. Never happened. I can honestly say I have nothing but respect for the community and those that give us a place to rest our head but it seems when you’re honest about a situation as a traveler you are attacked, threatened and made out to be the awful person when in fact you were scared and confused. We handled both situations calmly, first leaving a notice for travelers just in case they don’t have the money and don’t realize it’s a community app, and also for those that don’t want to be sent into a home only to be threatened and kicked out and then have nothing but sad lies told about them. Anyways I hope you take a read, it’s very unfortunate these recent fellow hosts have been so rude and honestly frightening with how they act. My lady and I are nothing but kind hearted, loving, respectful traveling artists looking to meet genuine groovy people around the world! And boy have we met some great people! I still recommend it to everyone , don’t be afraid to be honest. Anyways please continue to read to get to real some of the real me (:
