I'm a 33 year old woman who has recently been afforded the opportunity to do some serious traveling. November 1st I'm leaving my home and life behind to go get an ESL training and then hopefully teach in Thailand. I'd like to also teach in India, Japan and S. Korea. But I'm so excited because this will be my first real trip on my own!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm couchsurfing not just to save money, but to meet new people and experience cultures in a way that I know I wouldn't get if I stayed in a hotel. I would love for someone to show me around but just some suggestions if you're too busy work just as well!

Interests

I love so many things it's silly. I'm an avid reader, knitter, triathlete (a race where you swim, bike and run all in one race), teacher and my favorite thing is to learn something new. Also, I'm a major foodie and will try just about any food that isn't super spicy.

One of my favorite movies is The Blind Side. I connect well with struggles.

I'm collecting the top 1000 books of 2005. Currently reading Anna Karenina because I'm on a break from the Aragon series. I'll read just about anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent 5 years raising my brother's 5 kids. Now that they don't need me I'm off to some adventures.

I'm about to be certified to be an ESL teacher so I love to converse in English and help you out.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a very laid back and enjoyable person to be with. I'm easy going and eager to learn. I'm okay helping with dishes after dinner and light chores if I'm around a bit. I'm also great for having conversations in English. I mostly want to get to know you and your country.
