About Me

'wanderlust consumed her; foreign hearts and exotic minds compelled her. she had a gypsy soul and a vibrant hope for the unknown.' -d. marie

If a quote could describe a person, this one is for me!
I've always had the desire to stretch myself beyond my comfort zone, to try new things that might initially intimidate me, and to feel empowered once I achieve that challenging goal. Traveling combines my love for learning and growing with meeting amazing people all over the globe!

I've had only amazing experiences so far with my CS hosts and hangouts. I hope we have the opportunity to meet at some point, too!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because one of the best parts of traveling is the people you meet all over the world with such incredible stories! Couchsurfing provides the unique opportunity to really get to know people in their environment. You are immersed in the culture when you stay with locals unlike anything else!
(FYI: I'm not looking for romance. Just new friends in new places!)

Interests

My faith, sports and fitness, travel blogging, sightseeing, food and drink, hanging out with friends, meeting new people, photography/photo editing, reading and writing, spontaneous adventures, missions trips/humanitarian trips, animals, Pinterest, all social media, babysitting/nannying, fashion, event planning, politics, talking about deeper things than what meets the surface, solving the world's problems...it's an endless discussion!:)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Traveling all over the world has caused quite an expansion of music taste. Classical, indie, reggaeton, jazz, RandB, pop, and forever favorite..hip hop;)
Movies: Sadly, I don't have too much spare time for movies, but when I need to unwind, action or rom-com are the go-to genres.
Books: Bible, The Book Thief, Blink, Water for Elephants, Circling the Sun, Redeeming Love, Love Does, Everybody Always, Captivating, anything by C.S. Lewis

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living intentionally each day with purpose, joy, and grace...it's full of adventure and never gets boring!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I'm a fairly balanced individual (I try to be, and people have told me I am), so I suppose I can teach that...it needs to come from a desire and discipline in each person to be truly implemented.
Learn: I love hearing other peoples' stories, perspectives, and ideas on the world! I want to learn about the country or city I'm visiting - the history, culture, economic and political situation, etc.
Share: Unique perspective in discussions...because we all have one, don't we?

What I Can Share with Hosts

Bubbly personality from America who loves to learn and will ask a lot of questions about your home country, so be ready! I can cook or bake unique American recipes if you'd want, too.
