About Me
CURRENT MISSION
"Go not where the path might lead. Go instead where there is not path and leave a trail." Ralph Waldo Emerson
ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in southern California, and am an art major at San Diego State. I love music, art, and exploring and experiencing new places. Basically, my overall attitude in life is to just go with it, everything usually works out (it really does), and this keeps me pretty happy!
PHILOSOPHY
Don't take yourself seriously.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I started out hosting bunches of people with my good friend Holly, then we went out and surfed some too. I surfed in Turkey, Greece, all over Spain and Morocco and had an awesome time. I can't wait to start hosting again, it has proven a little difficult lately, but it has made a larger impact on me than I thought it would.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing helped me all the way from Turkey to Morocco to India! They've connected me to other friends, basically saved my ass whenever it was necessary. Also, traveling solo has never been more fun! I love it.
Interests
I love the outdoors (hiking, water sports, anything else), fun new people, parties, movies, crafting, animals, sailing, yoga, acro yoga, and of course travel.

Music...
Pretty Lights, Iron and Wine, Paul Simon, Fleetwood Mac, Cat Stevens, Zero 7, The Fugees, Rilo Kiley, Black Keys, Iron and Wine, Dr. Dre, Daft Punk, RHCP, Tom Petty, Radiohead, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Buena Vista Social Club, The Band, Jay-Z, yes.. Clockwork Orange, Lovely Bones, Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Onion... I'm gonna have to get back to all this, slowly.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have seen the far east of Turkey, tiny isolated villages, and ventured to Morocco alone (not for long thanks to cs). It was the first time I had been totally and completely at the mercy of kind strangers. I've seen the running of the bulls and the madness that goes along with it that only fellow visitors can understand, and I am a 2x cancer survivor as of 2007, wooh!
Teach, Learn, Share
I have learned something that seems obvious but something which people rarely follow through. This one life is yours, as far as I believe. You have to make yourself happy. I have found so much happiness just seeing where things take me. I love not knowing, I love the people I meet around unexpected corners.
One thing I can "teach" is just to let go, I guess. Some see it as being "unprepared," but I see it as a freedom, something that I feel like I MUST experience.
I can lead you in a yoga class and teach you some acro yoga moves, if you want!
