About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To practice gratitude and learn something new everyday.

ABOUT ME

My partner (Trevor Hartzell: https://couchsurfing.page.link/bayRr9Z4MJsRNdZZ7) and I will be spending 3 weeks travelling throughout Scandinavia. Each of us have had enriching experiences through couch surfing independently, and we are hoping to connect with others during our travels together. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about their hobbies and interests; experiencing new activities is exciting for me. I enjoy being outdoors, spending time with my dog, trying new foods (consuming more than preparing) and will never be known to turn down dessert.

PHILOSOPHY

Empathy is the most essential quality of civilization and laughter is the best medicine

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As a couchsurfer, I have had incredible experiences and have really enjoyed spending time and connecting with others. I hope to host soon!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did a bit of traveling through Europe a couple years back and was able to couch surf in Spain, France, Ireland, and England - I was blessed with kind and welcoming hosts who all instilled a love for CS in me. I can't get enough of this awesome community and look forward to engaging in it more. After several years without travel, I'm excited to be back in Scandinavia for more!

Coffee, hiking, camping, anything outside, tasting new foods - and learning how to make them, listening to podcasts, journaling, going to outdoor markets and craft fairs, laughing, learning new things, sharing ideas and stories, watching movies, spending time with animals, all things occupational therapy, and drinking a nice craft beer.

Music, Movies, and Books

A lot of indie pop and folky stuff, but love listening to new beats! Not big on country, but will listen to just about anything else. Huge fan of live music and festivals.

I love to watch movies.

Books: The Catcher in the Rye, Cronica de una Muerte Anunciada, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Into the Wild, Gone Girl. Everything I've ever read by Chuck Palahniuk.
