About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore our new city of Portland, Oregon and meet new friends
ABOUT ME
We just returned from a 4 month backpacking trip through Western Europe, Ireland, and the UK. After sitting behind a computer for quite some time, we were ready for a change of scenery! We quit our jobs, put everything in storage and lived each day as they came. We returned back to the states and recently moved to Portland, Oregon.
We are very easy going people. We enjoy chatting with new friends, sharing stories, and learning from the people we meet and places we visit.
On our travels we have grown to love the hidden corners of cities, the local spots, and the unique histories of the area. Most importantly may be a delicious meal from wherever we are!
PHILOSOPHY
Striving to live in the moment and to be open to whatever comes our way.
"To see the world, things dangerous to come, to see behind walls, to draw closer, to find each other, and to feel. That is the purpose of life."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We've hosted numerous couch surfers while in college in San Luis Obispo as well as in the San Francisco Bay Area. We enjoy meeting new people, sharing stories and experiences, and most importantly making new friends!
Although we are new to the official couchsurfing program, we have made many memories from hosting and surfing before, and love the couch surfing philosophy and all that it is.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We've had nothing but great experiences hosting others couch surfing so we're really excited to be guests this time around.
One of our favorite couch surfing experiences came when we randomly met two great guys while camping in Big Sur California...We invited them to our place for a couple nights in San Luis Obispo, and we had such a great time sharing stories, exchanging meals, showing them around the secret spots of San Luis obispo, and soon a couple nights turned into a week!
After college, Andrew and a friend embarked on a three month road trip through the USA and Canada for rock climbing. Although not officially on couch surfing at the time, we stayed with and shared experiences with many 'hosts.' These hosts are still friends today, and the memories will always be remembered!
We are excited for more of these random life stories that we will remember forever!
