Hello! My name is Kelly and I'm an adventurous digital nomad! I'm mostly from Seattle, Washington. In January 2018, I left America to venture into the world, teaching English online while I traveled. Over the years, I've now visited 30 countries and plan to see many more -- travel and music are my passions. Depending on where I'm staying at the moment, I can sometimes host. I love to meet new people, drum, see live music, try local cuisine, swim and snorkel, practice yoga, listen to music and cook!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Mostly I'm renting long-term apartments in the countries I'm living in, but appreciate the chance to couch surf briefly while I look for accommodation. I also like to take road trips and would like to meet and stay with people who live locally. I hope to give back by hosting couch surfers when I can, as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm into trip hop (Massive Attack, Portishead), hip hop, soul, funk, world, dub, electronic, reggae, grunge, 80's pop, and much more. I love all of David Lynch's films, but The Princess Bride and Donnie Darko are my all-time favorite movies. My favorite books are Feast of Love by Charles Baxter and On The Road by Jack Kerouac. I also love magical realism.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach English, so I'm always happy to provide some free lessons. :) I like to learn new languages and dishes to cook, and I can also teach you how to make my great-great-grandmother's fried chicken. It's the best in the world! I was a recruiter in America for 5 years, so I am also great at interview coaching and resume / LinkedIn profile writing!
