Hello everyone! I'm Kelly :) I just recently graduated from college and I'm ready to explore the world and what it has to offer! Throughout my life, I've spent a lot of time and dedication on finishing school and doing well. Now, without so many restrictions and responsibilities, I want to discover more about the world through the wonderful places and people that I will visit!

I'm both introverted and extroverted. I do love making friends and meeting new people but I do also enjoy having time to relax by myself and enjoy my own company. I'm a pretty independent individual as well - I've done a lot of things on my own and almost prefer it that way. I don't like relying on others too much for the things I can do myself! :)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I decided to join couchsurfing mainly because I want to meet new people and experience new things. I've lived a relatively sheltered life and now that I have less restrictions, I want to be able to explore. A passion of mine is learning new things and building my spirituality. I try to remain positive throughout all trials and tribulations of life. Meeting people from all walks of life has helped me tremendously with learning more about myself and opening my eyes to the world as a whole. I want to continue this journey and meet others on their journey!

Music: I love all types of music! When I really love a song, I'll listen to it over and over again until I'm sick of it. But don't worry, I have headphones ;)

Movies: My favorite types of movies and television shows are thrillers/horror! I used to be so scared of Paranormal Activity movies but now none of those movies scare me anymore haha. I also like movies that have a music background (Burlesque, Pitch Perfect, Straight Outta Compton) and comedies. My favorite actors are Will Smith, Adam Sandler and Jackie Chan (I grew up with watching them and they've just grown on me so much).

Books: When I read it has usually been textbooks, haha! But when I have free time to read, I usually like reading self-help books and inspirational/true story books because these stories help me further open my eyes to what the world has to offer and what others have been through.

I enjoy community service a lot. I've always been an active member in my community and have helped where I could including: food drives, tutoring, counseling, etc.

Out of all of the things I've done, the most amazing thing was tutor low income students. I spent a lot of time with these students on a weekly basis and being able to see them improve and grow was the most rewarding thing I've experienced. They were completely different from day one to my last day with them. Being able to mentor those students was something I'll carry with me forever.

I am willing to share whatever I can with my hosts! If you have kids, I don't mind baby sitting for a night or two of my stay so you and the significant other can go out on a date! I have an extensive babysitting background - mostly for family and family friends but I've been doing it since I probably still needed a babysitter. I am also willing to do cleaning and chip in where I can. Hosts should not hesitate to ask and I will do the best of my abilities! :)
