Overview
About Me
Hey there. I've been wanting to explore the couch surfing world for awhile, especially since i travel so much. I normally live just outside of Asheville, North Carolina on a small farm and run a small CSA there. I am currently taking time off from that and traveling. I also engage in primitive crafts, sewing and painting in my spare time. I love growing herbs, learning about plants, geeking out on Botany, wildcrafting medicine and food and doing lots of active stuff like running, cross country skiing and slack lining.
I'm originally from a small town in southern Virginia, growing up in the Bible Belt and was raised going to my grandparents tobacco farm. After leaving there, I went to college and studied Philosophy and Religion. It opened me to up a world of thoughts and places. Since then I have been working at botanical sanctuaries, organic farms, and cross country ski areas all across the United States.

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you about brain tanning deer hides, I'd say I have intermediate knowledge. I find it is a way to respect the animal's life lived. I have a lot of herbalism knowledge-- I have studied with 4 different teachers and many others for shorter times, i would love to connect with other plant lovers and especially folks who have knowledge of their local plants because I'm always looking to learn wherever I travel.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I could clean something in your house, help cook you a meal, have a little bit of herbal medicine with me right now i could share.
