About Me

I'm a laid back easygoing type who loves good conversation with good company over some delicious nosh whipped up in the kitchen.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting new people with different perspectives is such a cool opportunity. I love to travel, and prefer learning about life in a new place from a real person rather than being confined to a generic hotel room. I am happy to open my home when able to provide shelter and share a meal with visitors passing through.

Interests

I love to read.. listen to indy radio, craft, paint, learn, create, photograph, sew, hike, bike, walk, explore, treasure hunt, play boardgames, camp, swim, skate, ski, crazy carpet, have intelligent conversation, sing, watch the clouds go by, see a sunset, live in the moment, take random unplanned drives to nowhere, dig my feet in the sand, climb a mountain, LAUGH, sleep in late, get up early, cook a meal, grow my food, dream big, live simply, find old things and make them new, hammer a nail, watch the snow fall, this list could go on and on and on.....................................................................................

Music, Movies, and Books

Live music is ALWAYS a favorite.. I listen to a little bit of everything, from jazz to metal to franco-country and everything in between. Sia Furler I could listen to any day... Johnny Cash, Asgier, Amanda Palmer, Dresden Dolls, KOL, Skinny Puppy, Sarah Vaughn, Lisa Marie Presley, Lauren Mann & the Fairly Odd Folk, Sugarland, Neil Young, Dia Frampton, Tegan & Sara...........................................................................

The Shining is my all time favorite movie, but any one of Stanley Kubrick's are fascinating to watch over and over. A Clockwork Orange gets me every time. Documentary films are a staple round these parts, as are the occasional thriller or suspense flick.

Historical non-fiction, cookbooks (pictures are food porn!!), crime thrillers, Mary Stewart & JRR Tolkien, A. Roquileire, photography books, autobiographies, Gregory McGuire novels........

Countries I’ve Visited
