About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel the beautiful lands of New Zealand and meet as many people as possible during my adventure!
ABOUT ME
I am an adventurous, outgoing, fun-loving person who wants to see as much of the world as possible. Traveling is one of many passions of mine that I believe too many people take for granted or underrate the experiences that can be gained from it. I plan to live somewhere out of my home country one day and I couldn't be more excited to see all the opportunities waiting for me!
I feel as though I am an open minded person with a lot of insight and wisdom, despite my age; therefore, making myself a very easy and enjoyable person to talk to. I can relate to many types of people and I love hearing stories and past experiences of others. I strive to be a very caring and grateful person.
PHILOSOPHY
Don't hang your happiness on others. Every person is responsible for and in control of their own happiness. If you really want to make other people happy, be happy yourself!
Life is all about the journey, not the destination. I try to even expand on this idea by believing life should be a sensual journey.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently, I am traveling and have no permanent residence or space to offer for a fellow traveler. One day, I would love to contribute in that way to give back to this community!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have never couchsurfed before, but I have plenty of friends/family who have. I'm studying in New Zealand for a semester and plan to stay in the country through New Year's (January 2013). I will have close to two months free from school and any other limitations to travel and meet new people. I've been given this extraordinary opportunity and I want to make the most of it!
Interests
Traveling, photography, tramping, snowboarding, horseback riding, extreme adventure sports (whitewater rafting, bungeeing, skydiving, etc.), music
I have a passionate love for animals. Nothing makes me happier to be surrounded by them, no matter what kind they are!
I am planning to graduate next May (2013) at my home university in the U.S. I have already begun applying to Physical Therapy Schools where I will study for another three years and obtain my doctorate. Hopefully, I will settle down in a different country (not the U.S.) and open my own clinic.

Music, Movies, and Books
I never know where to begin with these questions.
Books: I love the classics for the most part. Great Gatsby, A Clockwork Orange, Pride and Prejudice, American Psycho, Kite Runner, To Kill a Mockingbird
Music: I'm a sucker for the 90's music. My top five favorite bands/singers: Radiohead, Dave Matthews Band, Coldplay, John Mayer, City and Colour.
Movies: I am very interested in WWII, hence some of my favorite movies. Schindler's List, The Pianist, Eternal Sunshine for a Spotless Mind, Pride and Prejudice, Office Space
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last summer, I lived in the Peruvian Amazon for 3 1/2 weeks with a group of 10 people from all over the world. The guide was only 24 at the time and younger and wilder than some of us in the group. I have many stories I would be willing to share from this including anaconda searching/wrestling, interacting with tribes and illegal loggers, terrifying to unbearable insect encounters, and near-death experiences! I even made a trip to Machu Picchu and traveled around in Cusco for 10 days.
