ABOUT ME

Heyy everybody!

I am Kelly and I am 27 years old. I grew up in quite a small city near Rotterdam. Later I lived in Germany for 4 years (basketball career) and when I got back to Holland I've lived mostly in Delft. Since I finished my law studies in 2014 I went traveling, volunteering or working in other countries (almost) all the time. I love to see and learn about the world.

This summer (2016) I've bought a small place in Holland so that's where I live now with my cat Puk. In winter I will work in Austria again for the winterseason. Right now I am working a little bit, having fun with my friends, playing basketball and going on holidays. Sounds like a good life, doesn't it? :D

My apartment is small and for tourists maybe not at the best location in Holland (although it is so small and the train is not far away), but if you like to stay with me that would be so much fun! Make sure you read my profile a little bit and send me a personal request please. I am always quit busy, so I do not know if I can show you around. The hotels here are really expensive, so if you a just looking for a free night sleep, just be honest, I understand :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When you are traveling for long time it gets less interesting to just see things and more interesting who you meet and what you experience with them. Meeting locals is what made my trip so special and couchsurfing is a great source for that.

Interests

Obviously I love traveling :) but next to that I used to play basketball. I love snowboarding. I like reading, watching movies, surfing on the internet, playing with my cat, going out for something to drink or eat, cooking, playing games, partying and more. I started with kitesurfing and I love it, but I am not that good yet. I like getting to know new people and doing new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to watch movies, any kind! Now I've got 'Netflix', so my social life is definitely over :D

I love books too. My favorite writer is Jodi Picoult. But I read a lot! Mostly thrillers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For three months I volunteered in Finland at a husky farm. Taking care of the dogs, the tourists and the dog sleigh tours. I loved it!
