Overview
About Me
Hello! My name is Kelly and I love walking, hiking, running, reading, writing, drawing, painting... I love a lot of different things! I love walking through museums and discovering new artists. I love discovering new cities by foot. I love asking questions and having deep conversations, as well as silly ones too. I love relaxing at the beach as well as working very hard to get a job done. I so enjoy meeting people from different cultures and countries, and exchanging stories and life-experiences. I love tasting new cuisine, going on adventures, and making friendships along the way.
I like to think of myself as a good listener. I really care about people, and I always want to hear what others are doing in their life.
The goal of life, I think, is to love—to love our neighbors, to love strangers who we are meeting for the first time, and to love even those that don't like us very much. So, I strive each and every day to love better than the day before.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I think it is an amazing way to meet people who are open, charitable and sincere. I also think that Couchsurfing enables one to explore a new city or town in an extremely intimate way. Nothing beats exploring some place new than having a local show you around.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I'm a pretty well-rounded movie-lover. I love everything from old, black and white classics to musicals. From indie movies found in film festivals to hollywood films. Here are some of my favorites: The Matrix, The Newsies, Slumdog Millionaire, Rear Window, Bringing up Baby, On the Town.
Music: I pretty much love all genres except for metal and hardcore rap. Andy Grammer, Matt Kearney, Coldplay, Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz and James Blunt are artists that I never get tired of listening to their music.
Books: The Robe, by Lloyd Douglas. The One Hundred Year Old Man Who Jumped out of the Window and Disappeared, by Jonas Jonasson.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am an au pair for one year in France, just across the border from Switzerland! I am taking care of three children, and this year has been full of SO MANY adventures!
Teach, Learn, Share
This is what Couchsurfing is all about! I'd love to have as many exchanges as I can— whether that is sharing perspectives, telling jokes or personal stories.
