About Me
CURRENT MISSION
"If you think adventure is dangerous, try routine, it is lethal" -Paulo Coelho
ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm a 28 year old Milwaukee native. I love live music especially small venue and bar shows and could always use a show buddy. I'm also a tattoo artist, body piercer, artist, amateur rock climber, traveler, avid volunteer, foodie, and total nerd.
PHILOSOPHY
"I beg young people to travel. If you don't have a passport, get one. Take a summer, get a backpack, and go to Delhi, go to Saigon, go to Bankok, go to Kenya. Have your mind blown. Eat interesting food. Dig some interesting people. Have an adventure. Be careful. Come back and you're going to see your country differently, you're going to see your president differently, no matter who it is. Music, culture, food, water. Your showers will become shorter. You're going to get a sense of what globalization looks like. It's not what Tom Friedman writes about. I'm sorry. You're going to see that global climate change is very real. And that for some people, their day consists of walking 12 miles for four buckets of water. And so there are lessons that you can't get out of a book that are waiting for you at the other end of that flight. A lot of people Americans and Europeans come back and go, ohhhh. And the light bulb goes on." -Henry Rollins

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: My taste is pretty much a little bit of everything, especially classic rock, folk, punk, psychobilly, metal, classical, funk, rockabilly and oldies. Mostly I just love live music. I spend a lot of weekend nights in dive bars getting into mosh pits, and it makes me feel alive.
Books: I love them. I especially enjoy the nerdy ones. If you really need a list of authors, here are a few:
Douglas Adams, Max Brooks, Orson Scott Card, Laurel K. Hamilton, Kurt Vonnegut, Frank Herbert, H.P. Lovecraft, R.A. Salvatore, J.R.R. Tolkien, Aldous Huxley, JK Rowling
Movies: Star Wars, Evil dead, Serial Mom, Rock and Roll High School, Pineapple Express, Lord of the Rings, Dark Crystal, Finding Neverland, Trainspotting, Rango, Firefly, This is Spinal Tap, Airplane, Breakfast Club, Green Room
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During a random road trip to Chicago, I ended up out on the roof of a church bell tower 150 feet in the air gazing at the beautiful south skyline of Chicago at night. Words cannot describe.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love meeting and learning about new people! I generally strive to learn something from every new person I meet. In turn, my goal is to share my stories, skills, thoughts and ideas with as many people as I can.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have a wide variety of random skills (drawing, painting, knitting, cooking, etc) and love sharing either skills or the products of my labors with others. My favorite gift to receive is knowledge and my second favorite is art, so I try to share these things with my friends. And that's what hosts are anyway, isn't it?
Countries I’ve Visited
Egypt, France, Italy, Morocco, Spain, United Kingdom
