I want to see at least part of the world before I "settle down". Or perhaps I'll catch the travel bug and lose my desire to settle...

ABOUT ME

I'm a 25 year old person who cannot decide if she should refer to herself as a "girl" or a "woman" at this point. As it stands in May 2014, I work at the front desk of a hotel in Las Vegas. I suspect, however, that they will not take a liking to the fact that I will be traveling Europe for 6 weeks come July, so I may be jobless at that point. Such is life. I like bar trivia and skiing and beachy bike rides and podcasts and karaoke and Target. I make a mean sangria. I sunburn easily.

PHILOSOPHY

Not the Marilyn Monroe "If you can't handle me at my worst" bologna, I used to really really care what people thought about me. Now, while open to constructive criticism, I have decided that the essence of my being is not up for discussion. This has really helped me get rid of, or not even begin things with, a lot of people who don't like me for me.
Also, I don't understand why mean people gotta be so mean all the time.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will be traveling more or less clockwise around Europe, starting in the UK, July 1 - August 12 of this year, all by my lonesome. Looking to meet as many people and do as many fun & interesting things as possible.

Interests

Bike riding, beer, acoustic music, dancing badly, karaoke, history, funky museums, shopping (sometimes), nature, trying extreme sports (haven't done many, but would love to). I'm pretty open to most things, or so I like to think.

Music, Movies, and Books

While I have no problem with binge watching TV shows, for some reason my attention span is not long enough to watch most movies without falling asleep. That being said...Big Fish, Toy Story 3, UP!, Elf, Her, Mean Girls, Mary and Max, We're the Millers, Forrest Gump, and most documentaries are lovely. And in terms of TV, HIMYM, The Office, That Mitchell and Webb Look, Orange is the New Black, Supernatural, and plenty more.
I used to be one of those "I like everything except country and rap" people. Now I love most country and have become a "I like everything except metal and dubstep" people. The Postal Service, Alan Jackson, The Killers, Noah and the Whale, Belle & Sebastian, Reel Big Fish, Jay Brannan, City and Colour, Jack's Mannequin, Gin Blossoms, Taking Back Sunday, Andrew Jackson Jihad, oldies...and stuff.
Harry Potter, The Catcher in the Rye, A Light in the Attic, Sideways Stories from Wayside School, and I read David Sedaris on airplanes. I really need to read more :/

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to Big Sur a few years ago. Breathtaking breathtaking stuff. I need to see more of this world though, for sure.
