Notes about my CS Style
When I *host* a couchsurfer: I often host during times that I have work (so need to get enough sleep at night ;) . When free, I am happy to show you around (no problem if you want to disappear all day and not be very social).

When I *couchsurf*, I am happy to a) explore the area on my own. No pressure on a host to spend time/energy being social.
or
b) Get to know the host and go on all night missions to interesting neighborhoods and listening to live music.

I am NOT looking for romance through CS.

Such an amazing way to meet people and places. When I am visiting a new place, I like to see it through the eyes of a local. I don't want to be a rude tourist. And when I can't be traveling, the visitors bring refreshing perspective and I get to show them the local experience.

Survive graduate school :)

Surf lifesaving on the California coast and North Island New Zealand. Pretty intense experiences and WONDERFUL people.

I also got lost in a cave one time without a light. Long story.

I make a pretty good Moqueca (kind of like a Brazilian Curry that can be vegan or have fish in it). I speak some Brazilian Portuguese and love the opportunity to practice. I love music and would love to find some good concerts.
