About Me
Hello couch friends. I'm an Irish gal living in London, a story as old as time it must be said. I spent 2 years living and working in Vietnam and I'm missing the travel buzz. Hoping to slither around the UK and Europe a bit more and appreciate what's on offer close to home!
I love the outdoors and keeping active by day and enjoying a delightful party by night! Always open to trying new things and love nothing more than meeting people and learning and exploring .
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Why not? It would seem the world is currently saturated in negativity and terrible vibes and I love the idea of this positive way to explore a new place and meet new people who might be able to teach me a thang or two. Who knows what adventures may be on the horizon?
Interests
I'm a keen cyclist and commute about 18miles to work every day. London's underground was filling me with a bad case of the 'sads' so I hoped on that saddle and gliterally never looked back. (Well, I regularly do to check for oncoming traffic but you know what I mean). Hoping to have more cycleventures as the weather gets better!

Music, Movies, and Books
Musically it's an eclectic mix depending on my mood. When I'm feeling sassy, nothing but a mix of Lil Kim and TLC will do the job, when I'm blue, Nick Cave gives me a helping hand.
I love reading anything that will inspire a new way of looking at a situation or teach me a new perspective. Whether that's fiction or non-fiction, I'm easy. Recently finished The Green Road by Anne Enright which appealed to the Irish family chick inside me. Currently reading The Sellout by Paul Beatty which is a great little satire with an incredible body of words that I can only describe as a work of art. Each sentence is literally a piece of work.
Favourite comedian and all-around provocateur of thoughts- George Carlin, Innever tire of listening to him ramble.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This one is hard because it feels a bit self-applaudy. Ive recently started GoodGym where we run as a group to do a nice task that helps the community. Last week we ran to a regenerated East London dock to water their many many flowers in the community garden as the don't yet have water supply. What would normally take teo people 6 hours took 12 of us 40 mins. Pretty simple but a nice way to give the smallest thing back to the community you live in. Do it!
What I Can Share with Hosts
My job makes me a pretty social creature and I'd like to think I can hold a conversation in a topic or two! I love to laugh and share stories and I make a mean quinoa and roast veg salad / enchiladas / whatever your heart desires and am more than happy to share half of anything I have if you're willing to open up your couch to me!
