ABOUT ME

I'm currently on an Around-the-World trek, planning to spend May-August in Europe, September-November in Africa, December-February in India/SE Asia, then onward to Australia, New Zealand, South/Central America. I'm planning as I go, about 2-3 weeks out at a time. I love the outdoors and hiking/camping, SUP/Kiteboarding/Kayaking, meeting new people and currently enjoying late nights in Scandinavia with the round-the-clock daylight. I enjoy food/cooking, wine/beer/cocktails, and I am a yogi/dancer, so have been trying to incorporate any classes I can find along the way!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted one time before, but have not yet experienced being hosted myself. I have utilized AirBnb, Hostels, and couches/beds offered by friends I've met along the way in prior travels. I'm hoping to meet some new people in the areas I am traveling, and return the favor once I reach my home base again. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I have not owned a TV in about 12 years, and don't give myself much time for television. But, I am an avid and ongoing fan of Friends, and prefer comedies and action films. For books, I am a lifetime learner, so it is generally about travel, self improvement, business, or whatever class I am taking. For music, I like a little of everything, but my favorites are reggae, and mostly US Top 40/Hip Hop (for dancing/clubbing).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's so hard to choose only one thing, but I spent 2 nights hiking in the backcountry in Denali, Alaska, and both the scenery and experience were breathtaking!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm an accountant by trade and have taught lower level university students. I am happy to help you with your English and am interested in learning other languages, as well. I have had quite a bit of education in Spanish, so can get by with Spanish too. If you are interested in any club or ballroom dancing or yoga, I would be happy to accompany you to a class or just go out and hit some clubs in town with you!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am happy to cook, if you don't mind my use of the kitchen. I also actually enjoy washing dishes, so I'm happy to help with a little housework or take this chore while I am visiting. I'm a tidy person, and very flexible/adaptable to whatever makes you most comfortable. I am planning as I go, so if you have WiFi and don't mind me spending a little time at the house for future planning and/or laundry, I would greatly appreciate that!! :)
