CURRENT MISSION

To look back on my life and be happy with what I have done

ABOUT ME
I live in a great suburb of West End where I can easily access the beach! I try to take advantage of what Townsville and surrounds has to offer such as camping, Magnetic Island, The Strand, Town Common, live music and much more. I like to make sure I have a good mix of doing things and relaxing as my job is my passion and I put a lot of energy into it.

PHILOSOPHY

To be open minded at all times, I always remind myself to be thoughtful of different perspectives.
I also think that people need to remember to have a balance between serious and fun in their lives. Sometimes I get stuck in serious and when I notice this I add something in to balance it out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have done the coffee and chat thing with surfers in South America where I really began to get a good feeling about this idea. I have hosted in Darwin as well as attended regular CS meet ups there.
I have couchsurfed down the east coast of Australia and met some great people along the way. I have hosted in Townsville when I lived in a share house with 2 other hosts and we often arranged parties and meet ups.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had nothing but good experiences with couch surfers. For some reason I always get the ones that want to stay for a week or more, which I enjoy as I get to know them a bit better than the quick visitors, though it makes it harder to say goodbye.

I loved the day a couchsurfer showed up at my door with a box of about 12 frozen barramundi to hand out to all of my neighbours!

Interests

Outdoors, reading, cooking, eating cheese, laughing, having good conversations, bird watching, live music, travelling, photography (would like to get more practice), etc, etc, etc,

I hang out at the Sunday markets every weekend as my wind down day of the week, you can always meet me there! (if i am not camping or travelling that is!) I also really enjoy going to the live music gigs in Townsville to support the local musicians, there are some really great ones to watch!

Music, Movies, and Books

Wes Anderson movies are my favourite. I love animated movies, you can pretty much get me to watch any.

I love books by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Haruki Murakami, graphic novels, any book that makes me consider different ideas or perspectives on life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen so many amazing things and hope to never loose sight of them....
