CURRENT MISSION

learn spanish, bicycle-building, and how to grow my own food

ABOUT ME

hi!

i'm not really sure how to write all about myself, the best way is to of course meet me!

PHILOSOPHY

I'm interested in anarchist philosophy, queer theory, feminism, vegan/vegetarianism, environmentalism and related philosophies

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

did a bit of hosting in Guelph, ON, some surfing in Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, France, and Spain

I haven't done much surfing lately because I started traveling without plans.. and met people that way instead. That being said I'm still completely open to surfing, hosting, and meeting travel companions through the site

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfing & Hosting. Mostly good experiences (:

Interests

Ive been making art for as long as I can remember - I especially enjoy drawing, graffiti, photography, video, installation, and painting. Im open to just about anything arts-related as long as I beleive there is genuine merit in what is being said. I specifically appreciate art with a social/political context or that communicates something essential to the human condition and feeling.

Im also really into good friends, good wine, and good food. Especially when all three are mixed together.

I enjoy travelling without plans and very little money. I like to camp, volunteer, dumpster dive, hitch-hike, and live as spontaneously as possible!

history, philosophy, and ideas in general. At this time Im specifically interested in alternative and more liberating ways to live life that dont include oppression

Music, Movies, and Books

Im pretty open-minded to just about any kind of music or artist, as long as they have something worth saying.
Right now I like Jeffrey Lewis, Johnny Hobo, Godspeed! You Black Emporer, Eddie Vedder, Gogol Bordello, and Woody Guthrie.

I like reading whats written on the walls, crimethinC, orwell, huxley, nietzsche.

I enjoy documentaries of all sorts, and my favourite films are eternal sunshine, oh! brother where art thou, exit through the gift shop.

at the moment i'm between reading Eating Animals by Jonathan Safron Foer, Walden by Henry David Thoreau, and The Medium is the Massage by Marchall McLuhan. All of which are highly recommended

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share

At this time I want to learn Spanish, how to build a bicycle and how to grow my own food. Anything arts-related. Ive recently picked up a guitar for the first time so would love to learn anything that would be useful for a beginner.

I can teach you about art and some very beginner poi stuff, food recipes, tips about cycling long-distance, camping, and dumpster diving
