Instead of a traditional description, here are 9 random facts about me:

1- I grew up in Idaho but moved to Seattle for university (graduated 2014). This city is absolutely amazing, and I love living here. It's awesome being on the forefront of a lot of issues (weed, same-sex marriage, etc.).

2- My last big trip was five months in Central and South America followed by Burning Man. Currently working to save up enough for the next trip!

3- Latin America has my heart.

4- I'm pretty good at ping pong, and I can probably beat you. :)

5- Squishy grapes are probably my least favorite thing in the world, followed closely by Donald Trump and hair in drains.

6- I come from a family of potato farmers.

7- I have strong views on a lot of things, but I don't push them on people. That being said, I will call you out on your sexist / racist / homophobic comments.

8- The strangest thing I've ever eaten was pig brain.

9- Next trip abroad: Trying to decide whether to get my year-long work visa for Australia or New Zealand this fall. Anyone have advice?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It allows me to experience different cultures and people while staying in Seattle. Also, it forces me to take advantage of everything my city has to offer, which is something I don't do nearly enough. I've surfed in México, France, and Spain, hosted some awesome people in Seattle, and have become good friends with a lot of them!

Learn: New recipes for traditional dishes! I like learning at least a few words in my surfer's native languages. I would also love to learn salsa dancing and kickboxing, and I'm in the process of improving my pool skills.
