About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm 31 and I'm from Gray, ME - a small town near Portland, ME, two hours north of Boston - although I was born in Florida and still go back frequently. I have two sisters, one younger and one older. When I studied abroad in Europe, I traveled around Europe and couch-surfed in various countries and had great experiences. I'm friendly, openminded, and I enjoy having conversations with new people. I teach performing arts and have my own business teaching music and theatre classes to kids grades K-6. I'm also a singer-songwriter and while I've been playing mostly in Maine, I hope to start traveling more with my music. I play the ukulele and guitar and I'd love to play/sing some songs with you. I'm also a pretty good cook and I love to cook for people! I'm also interested in reiki, wellness and nutrition.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used couch-surfing a lot when I studied in Europe - and a couple times since - and I've almost always had excellent experiences and I've met some really great people. I've found couchsurfing to especially great when traveling alone. I also made some good friends abroad through one of the meet-up groups.

I'd like to be able to offer my couch once I'm in a situation where that's possible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took a five-day canoe trip down the Allagash river in Maine when I was in middle-school. We got caught in a squall and had trees falling all around us. On the same trip, I also saw a mother moose and her baby cross the river just a few yards in front of my canoe.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to talk with you about theatre, music, books, movies or art. I also love just chatting with people and hearing their stories. I love to play ukulele/guitar and sing and I always love to play/sing with other people. I'm also happy to teach ukulele to anyone who is interested. I'm interested in education and I like to talk with other educators about their philosophies/experiences. I'm also a pretty good cook (especially gluten-free/paleo cooking) and I would love to cook for you or exchange recipes.

I'd love to cook a delicious meal for my hosts and share music and conversation.
