About Me

I'm a vibrant adventurous soul currently living it up in Edinburgh. As an avid traveler I like to sink my teeth into anything that gets me out and try new things. In my down time I enjoy reading and playing music. I love cooking and meeting new people as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfing to both host and be hosted whenever I travel. I want to see the world but recognize the difficulty when living on a budget and hope others find travel easier when they know they have a place to stay.

Music, Movies, and Books

I never find this section easy to fill out. I like all kinds of genres and get into almost anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked Mt. Whitney (14,506 ft) in a single day. I woke up at 5am and started the trail at 8000ft. It was 22 miles round trip and took me 13 hours with only minor breaks. At the top of the summit in the middle of August the clouds burst open and started pouring out snow. I was not prepared- and so it because a struggle for my survival. I then new that if I waited much longer I would be soaked through at 14000 ft with no dry clothes and 11 miles to go. Luckily a trail friend saw my struggle and offered me a trash bag to use as a poncho. However it did little to keep the wet and cold out. So after hiking up the 11 miles I knew the only way to get down was to stay warm and keep moving. I ran down jagged granite rocks covered in slick snow. I ran through mountain pine and over rushing streams. I ran all the way to the bottom. By the time I made it down I had tears in my eyes. I was grateful for the journey. It tested my limits and my strength. It was the most amazing day and I will never forget it.
