About Me
I'm a PhD student studying cultural anthropology (in a nutshell, the study of people and culture), and naturally a very social person! I just got back from an amazing month spent in Thailand, and have travelled a bit in South America previously too. I always enjoy meeting new people and exploring new corners of the world - for research or for fun :) My current home is a shared apartment in Brooklyn, NY and I'd be happy to return the favor and host someone who I stayed with.
Interests
Academically: social activism and its potential for material and ideological change, in relation to overlapping and contrasting issues of race, class and gender - also public art and more creative or performative forms of activism and memory
Non-academically: indie music, progressive poetry, foreign movies, cooking experiments, traveling and hiking when I can, biking, random art projects, outdoor murals and graffiti
