I'm originally from Colorado, but moved to California 3 years ago and am still exploring the city. I can recommend some amazing places to eat, but am also down to just wander around downtown and try something new.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've visited two countries with big tour groups and I felt like I didn't get a real sense for the places I was staying. Many friends recommended Couch Surfing as a way to meet great people and really experience the places I visit.

Interests

I love soccer, manga, anime, chocolate, welding, movies (watching and making), basically all food, yoga, napping, building and fixing things (especially enjoy soldering - it's kind of relaxing), and on and on. Always love trying new things as well :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Recently finished "The Martian" and loved it. Science fiction is probably my favorite genre, followed by mystery books. For Music I'll listen to just about anything, but I really like dancing so fast paced music with a good beat tends to be what I listen to most.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I went to Burning Man a few years back there was a "Circus Camp" that taught different circus classes. I spent a few days learning how to climb/dance with the hanging silks. I'm still terrible, but it was amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you visit me in LA I can take you to a pick-up soccer game if you like playing. I also know some great places to eat and where to find cheap beach yoga groups. I'm interested in learning Japanese and Spanish. I can help anyone looking to practice English.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm not the best cook overall, but I make a mean kuglis (Lithuanian potato dish) or cinnamon roll pancakes. If you don't want to risk my cooking (which I totally understand) I would love to take you out for a drink. I'll also probably be bringing my super-8 camera on my travels along the with plenty of film. Hosts are absolutely welcome to shoot some film.
