Overview
About Me
I'm a graphic designer who can't sit still. 2018 I spent 5 months traveling through Western and Northern Europe, and this year I am driving out to Western and Northern US/CA for about 6 months. My goal over the next couple of years is to travel 6 months at a time, and stay in Cincinnati for the remaining months.
You can check out my travels @kelskinne on Instagram.
I love to see new places, but also work full time between graphic clients and my own projects, so it's hard to pull myself away from work to explore. It's always a balance. I love meeting up with locals who can show me some of their favorite spots and have good conversations.
Currently taking a 6 month road trip around US/Canada: Cincinnati > OKC > AZ > Up the West Coast > Vancouver > MT > Ottawa > NYC > Philly
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing allows me to plug into a country/city/neighborhood more authentically, connecting with people from all around the world and getting to know them personally. It expands my perspective on the world and at the same time, makes the world feel much smaller with each person I meet and city I step in. I also couch surf to peek into different lifestyles and ways of thinking, so that I can evolve the way I live and think.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm all across the board when it comes to music. Anywhere from The Black Keys to J.Cole to Wet, Mr. Gnome, The Arcs, Alt-J. Not so much into concerts because of crowds, but I love love love going to a hole in the wall type of bar to watch live music and discovering someone new.
Movies, I strangely love foreign movies where you have to read the subtitles the whole time. Period dramas are some of my favorites. I can't stomach horror, I barely recovered from Signs and haven't watched a scary movie since.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In Sweden, I learned how to drive a manual car one day and a Harley the next. I was pretty good for a first timer, and now caught the motorcycle bug.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm in to cooking and would love to cook together or for you. There was a while I was doing seven course tasting menus for up to 10 people. I'm cool with doing a casual dinner for friends if everyone chips in. I like playing hostess for low-key dinner parties.
I am teaching my self how to record, video edit, and creating motion graphics in Adobe After Effects and Premier Pro (currently keeping it simple with iMovie). If you have a skill set in this let me know! I'd love to pick your brain.
If you have a free night to go out to see some live music, a performance of some kind (theater, comedy, ballet), see a gallery/museum, if there's something interesting nearby, I'm always down.
What I Can Share with Hosts
