Overview
About Me
I grew up in Tacoma, WA and after a few years of working on the East Coast [SC and MA] I am back in Washington helping take care of family. I am currently unable to host, but would love to meet some travelers in the area. Now that I am back in my hometown it is fun to show people around to all of the places I grew up with!
Things to know about me:
I love to dance! Any groove can put me in a good mood and I love to connect to people from all backgrounds and walks of life through dance. My passion is Brazilian Zouk, and I also love Kizomba, Salsa, Bachata, and Ballet.
I am all about self care - I love spending a good night in with my journal and a cup of tea, or meditating in the mornings. My current goal is to get to 365 days in a row of meditating with Headspace! Currently in the 100s but feeling positive about the journey :) Ask me about DBT, Neurofeedback Therapy, and/or the Muse Headband!
I value authentic engagement and am I chose not to be on social media platforms outside of LinkedIN and CS at the end of 2016. Now I have wayyy more free time and I spend it calling my close friends and reading books at night :p
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to experience new places in authentic environments. I could really care less about seeing the sights if its not through the lens of what it really means to be in a certain place. I have visited Rio De Janeiro many times and still haven't made it to Cristo Redentor, because I realized many of the locals haven't either!
