Overview
About Me
I am an American from New Mexico and Missouri. (I consider each to be my home). I'm pursuing a healing mind, a grander perspective, and my love for exotic foods. My hope is to reach out to those who can help me keep moving in any direction.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's been a long time since I set up my CS account. My intention was to couch surf across Europe. Plans changed, and I never did delve into the community. I'd like to try again, though. I've heard wonderful things from surfers who have met beautiful people and made treasured memories. I don't want to miss out anymore.
Interests
I love abnormal psychology and learning more about why people behave the way the do. While I'm at it... making and sharing music, hiking at daybreak, drinking wine in unconventional locations, and buying more books than there is time to read them all.
My next adventure: I would love to learn more about the Trieste Model. My understanding is that Trieste, Italy is a perfect petri dish for psychiatric health care. I want to see it and maybe even be a part of it. I wish to someday improve our system here in the US and I hope visiting Trieste will inspire me. My goal is to spend a few weeks there at first. I'm not sure how long I will stay -- this is experimental and experiential!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love to play and listen to music. I like movies that either make me think or make me laugh. You can keep the horror ones, thanks. "The Tin Drum" by Gunter Grass is what reignited my love for reading and kick-started my desire to travel.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I took a one month trip solo through central and eastern Europe.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you haven't got your instrument, I'll loan you something to strum. Tell me your story and I'll buy you a drink.
