About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to find myself out there somewhere - then change myself - then find myself again - & to become smarter & braver & more compassionate & to meet as many people as possible

ABOUT ME

I find bits of myself through people, therefore, I love meeting new people. I love crazy long alcohol and or coffee infused conversations - I love traveling by myself and looking at this world, and it's people, & discovering all the beautiful things that are not always so obvious.

I am also an occasional photographer & constant writer.

My goal is to get out of 'Post-Modernity' and help propel the humanities. I am a true believer in people, and I think that the time is ripe for us to stop looking at the computer screen, and start associating with REAL humans, rather than VIDEO games & movie stars & to grasp what is real, and acknowledge that LIFE is the most important thing, not all the constant frivolities that we distract ourselves with. There is NO time for distraction - only motion & connections & bettering ourselves, our minds, and as many people as we can captivate while we are still alive.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in people...I believe that anything is possible, and that since I am living and breathing, that I should fill my time in discovering all the possibilities, especially personal ones, the ones you can feel move and change within yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Although you probably have never heard of Farmington, and you will probably never plan a trip here - it is definitely worth to see, even as a pitstop. It's a quaint little town snuggled into the eroding St. Francois Mtns. and it's about an hour south of St. Louis! So if you're passing through, and can't quite make it - and you find yourself near Farmington, I have a couch!!! The town has small cute little quirks about it, but the best part, is all the beautiful nature trails and parks surrounding Farmington, which I would be more than happy to help you explore!

SO, if you're looking for a small mid-west getaway from your normal getaway, give me a visit & we can go exploring the forests & natural rock formations!

places I live next to for you to look up!
-Elephant Rocks
-Pickle Springs Natural Trail
-St. Francois Co. State Park
-Amidon Natural Shut-Ins
-Johnson's Shut-Ins (currently closed...)

and more! Plus, St. Louis has one of the biggest nicest zoos in the country and it's FREE! There's also a History museum, the Art Museum, ALL FREE! And Forest Park is quite lovely, and of course, the St.Louis Arch - which costs under $15 to go up in...

Just let me know if you think you may pass through, I will hook you up with a lovely experience!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

There was the ALMOST meeting with a fellow CS member in NYC - Steven - who was very welcoming, and gave me good advice...

Then, there was the group of cyclists who are part of Face Aids ( a college group associated with Stanford University). They were all very lovely, and I found out that little ol' Farmington is on the Trans-America bike route...SO, bikers, WELCOME..

California Pacific Coastal Highway - on a bluff somewhere - the wind was so powerful, i could sit on it...

Peter, Bum in Hawaii scavanging for money on the beach - we had one of the best conversations ever...

Climbing through the dregs of The Badlands in South Dakota...

Teach, Learn, Share

i want to know what makes people stop just surviving, and LIVING!

which is something thats kind of a quote from mother theresa, i forgot the exact quote...something like

"when will we learn to stop just surviving, and start living..."
