About Me

I am an optimistic and energetic solo traveler who enjoys life to it's absolute fullest and wants everyone else to do the same. I'm currently traveling as much as possible while I await bar results. I enjoy traveling the world and learning through experience. I love meeting new people and making new friends in new and interesting places. So far this summer I've traveled to Nicaragua and Panama. In October I will be traveling to Indonesia and Australia. In November I will be traveling through Italy, Slovenia, Slovakia, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, and Germany.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because it embodies everything I value in traveling. I think it is so important for people to travel and experience the world, and couchsurfing makes that a possibility by providing accommodations while also allowing people to make new friendships. Some of the friends I've met while traveling remain my closest! I wish that for everyone in this world.

Interests

I consider myself an active individual, although there are times when I prefer to relax and be lazy. I have two dogs, so relaxing isn't always an option as they require lots of attention and exercise. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My friends and I enjoy cooking, hiking, paddleboarding and cycling together. I have an insatiable curiosity for geography and new places, and I love walking around new cities. I like to try new food and eat what the locals eat and do the things you're supposed to do in the places you're supposed to do them.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoying reading all genres. I'm on goodreads if you have any suggestions or want to see what I've read or am currently reading!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done is started over. I moved to a new, amazingly beautiful place that I consider home. I've been here for five years and have the most amazing group of friends. Starting over was scary and awful, and the most amazing thing I've ever done.

Teach, Learn, Share

While I was in law school I was unable to travel due to the rigorous nature of the curriculum and schedule. Now that I have graduated I've made it my mission to travel as far and as often as possible. Through travel I've pushed my limits by trying new and sometimes scary experiences, eaten delicious food, and traveled to places I would have never traveled before if it hadn't been for the people I've met along the way. Mostly I travel independently and through this I've learned that the world opens itself up to solo travelers in ways it does not when you're traveling in a group or with a partner. The generosity of complete strangers in moments when I needed their help most has proven to me that traveling is for everyone no matter what their circumstances and that people are mostly good. It's these solo travel experiences that inspire me to travel and I hope to encourage others to do the same, even when they can't find a friend to accompany them. I want to reciprocate the kindness others have shown me while traveling and I think couchsurfing is such a great facilitator, especially for solo travelers to live life to it's absolute fullest.
