About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to be the change I wish to see in the world

ABOUT ME

I love to travel, and I love couch surfing. Some of the best experiences I've had have been because of couch surfing.

I am a big nature person and an even bigger animal person. I have been vegan since I was 13 and try my best to support local and fair-trade businesses. I try mirror what I want the world to become, but I would never force that vision upon anyone.

PHILOSOPHY

I wish more people would dwell on how they want to live their life, rather than why they are living.

Interests

I love to laugh, and I laugh a lot. I love a good meal with a nice glass of wine or a good beer. I am also an avid hiker when I can find the time.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to movies, I like just about every genre. I am a huge fan of independent and/or psychological movies. And, I adore documentaries of any kind.

Music... Opeth and Porcupine Tree are my two favorite bands of all time, but I love everything from Led Zeppelin to Immortal Technique and Bob Marley to Coleman Hawkins. I must say that prog rock speaks to me the most, though.

My favorite book is "Cry, The Beloved Country." I relish in reading the classics, but I go through phases. Currently, I'm on a Phillip K. Dick thing...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen and done some cool things while traveling, such as bungee-jumping in New Zealand, but I really enjoy the little things. My favorite experiences involve learning new languages, seeing the differences/similarities between cultures, and discovering new vegetation and wildlife. Just a few days ago, I spent some time in the Fichtelgebirge. It's the middle of November, everything around you is blanketed in frost, yet you can find every color of the rainbow there in forest, in the stones, leaves, and ground cover. It was absolutely breathtaking.
