Natural Responsibility
Holistic Health
Indigenous Allyship
Equitability
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As humans we so often forego connection when we travel, and instead choose airbnb's or hotels. It is easier for us to participate in capitalism and all that comes with it: pay for a place to stay so we can be alone and not feel as if we owe anyone anything. By avoiding the cycle of reciprocity we create a world that prioritizes the self over Mother Earth and all those she supports.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted quite a few surfers in St. Catharines, Ontario. It's a popular destination being so near Niagara Falls.
I've officially couchsurfed in Canada, Europe and Morocco. However, I cannot count the times that I've let new acquaintances crash at my place, and vice versa. Brian's done some couchsurfing in Canada and Europe.
Couchsurfing is a great way to meet new faces and learn new things! It beats staying in an impersonal hotel any day!

Music, Movies, and Books
Some of my favourite books:
"Braiding Sweetgrass" by Robin Wall Kimmerer
"Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind" by Hayao Miyazaki
"When Things Fall Apart" by Pema Chodron
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There have been many. Though the Northern Lights up in Northwest Territories were something else. If you have the chance, go to Great Slave Lake. It's one of those overlooked beauties of the world. Sleeping under the stars in the Sahara Desert is also up there.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am neither horticulturalist nor herbalist, but I know more than your average joe regarding these matters. I'm always down for sharing my plant-y ways, whether helping out in the garden, at the farm, harvesting, processing, or sharing tinctures, herbs, or knowledge. I also love learning from others about all things plants, as well as natural building.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook a meal, clean, help with any landscaping needs, etc.
