Currently guiding for a sled dog company on Svalbard. I love the openness of this place, the darkness and lightness, the extremes, the expansiveness. I'm a writer, and there's nothing that inspires me more than peoples' stories and the landscapes surrounding them.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is live music. I'm the biggest book nerd you'll ever meet. I love exchanging book ideas: poetry, memoir, novels, short stories. A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara is what's currently on my mind. Life on Mars by Tracy K. Smith is one of my favorite poetry books because it's about outer space and David Bowie. One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many amazing moments come to mind. I pet a friendly dog, jumped out of an airplane, rode my bike in the morning for miles and miles, camped under the milky way, jumped from a waterfall, hiked up a mountain i've always dreamed of in the rain.
