ABOUT ME

I am Kelsey, 25 year old Detroiter. Currently working in Community Engagement and living in a neighborhood called Woodbridge. I also bartend at a music venue at a music venue on the weekends and really enjoy brunch on Sundays.

I am a busy body, always with lots of things on my plate. I love to show people a good time and share the history of Detroit with surfers, as well as my hopes for the future.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is to be enjoyed. The world is to be seen. Live and love hard because you never know when it'll be your last chance.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted 5-6 travelers during the summer of 2011, I did some moving around since then, but I am trying to share my beautiful home and neighborhood with some interesting people again!

This really does change on the daily, but as I write this my Spotify profile says I've been listening to a lot of: The Strokes, The Rolling Stones, and The Von Bondies. So there's that.

I have a soft spot for children's fantasy (Harry Potter, Hunger Games, etc.) Also for weird, morbid, horrific fiction, usually with sexually dysfunctional undertones.

I want to share my city with you. Detroit's a hot spot right now, and there is so much activity taking place. It's a great place to see and watching the progression is amazing.
