ABOUT ME

I'm constantly seeking adventure and knowledge. I'm a bit selfish in that way....I want to see everything, taste everything, and know everything. I collect experiences.

I'm a happy, positive person with passions for holistic health, social justice, dancing, and cooking. I've dreamed of becoming a midwife since I was 12 years old.

At home, I spend a lot of time volunteering at a local LGBTQ youth support center. I moved back to California from Seattle about a year and a half ago to take care of my 96 year old grandfather.

I love meeting new people, watching scary movies, learning new facts to add to my random-fact-arsenal, eating delicious food, being spontaneous, and swooning over Ruby Rose.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that the best way to travel is not by staying at some resort or hotel, but by staying with locals. I don't think there is any better way to get to know a new place then by talking to the people who live there and experiencing life in a not-so-touristy part of the city.

Interests

Everything interests me to an extent....I love learning new things. My main interests are dancing, cooking, eating ice cream, doing childish things with my friends, people watching, reading historical fiction, trying and failing to meditate, trying and failing to give up sugar, drinking coffee, watching scary movies, going to theme parks, museums, and the theater.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Attended several births. I don't think anything in this world is quite so worthy of the word "amazing" as witnessing the birth of a human being. Absolutely amazing. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help you learn the basics of traditional jazz dances, I can teach you how to poach an egg and give pointers on making the best pie crust ever. I'm a trained birth doula. I'm also an experienced nanny so if you need baby/child related advice....I'm there.

I'd love to learn new dances and new languages. I'd love to hear any stories you know behind the history of the city/town you live in. Actually, I'd essentially love to learn any skills or experiences you have to share. Learning new things is a favorite hobby of mine. :)
