I am a Canadian gal exploring the ins and outs of life. I love meeting people, exploring places, tasting and making food, dancing to music, smelling flowers. I am easy going, patient, understanding, indecisive, semi-crazy. I have been travelling the last few years and the next big adventure to come is South East Asia with the love of my life! We hope to experience everything with open hearts, adventure, compassion and fun.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing because the thing you tend to remember about travelling is the people you meet. The time you got to spend encountering new people, sharing experiences, learning and loving. Couch surfing is like an open vessel to incredible people, stories and memories. Life would be nothing without our human interactions and sharing. How can you find a more genuine, humble and vulnerable means of sharing than inviting one into your home and joining the homes of others.

Interests

I love gardening,growing foods and medicine and sharing such intimate process with the very things that feed us. I am quite new to the whole thing but I love getting my hands dirty and learning all the many plant varieties, techniques, and joys of gardening.
I like to spend time slacklining (hoping to witness or even try high lining soon), practicing yoga postures, breath work, playing poi, and hooping. Also hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, watching documentaries, cooking.
Camping!! Oh the joys of waking up to birds and bugs. Swimming in a creek, cooking over a fire, jamming with friends and living in the most simplest of ways.
I love sharing with people; time, stories, activities, food, music, tea, love. Our interactions are the essence of our beings. Sharing is life.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music; anything conscious! Indie, folk, country, religious, reggae, rap, beach tunes, you name it.. It if has heart and messages to be learned I will listen.
I am not much of a movie watcher, mostly just documentaries! Human planet, animal planet, travel shows, food documentaries, anything to learn!
Books.. Guilty pleasure... Sappy romance novels. But also books on gardening, philosophy, religious studies of all varieties!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I truly can't choose one!

What comes to mind... Parasailing and canyoning in the Swiss Alps, Building a cob oven in the woods of New Zealand, helping baby sea turtles to the oceans edge in Ghana..

I learned a valuable lesson from a Buddhist monk a few years ago.. Each moment is better than the last because it's the one we've got. And with that; The most amazing thing I've done was to wake up this morning, clean my fridge, and update my couch surfing account.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn to cook culturally diverse foods, gardening practices, massage healing, yogic practices, how to play an instrument. I want to learn why people to what they do, how we interact with each other, what makes us love!

I can teach a little bit of slackline-ing and poi and gardening. I can teach things I've learned in life : how to find joys in simplicity, have compassion for all creatures and yourself!

I can share: Time time time. The most valuable thing we've got. I can share openness, listening, compassion, patience. Tea . Stories. Love.
