About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel, take it all in, give what I can back.

ABOUT ME

I believe I'm outgoing, active, open minded, creative and a bit clumsy. Im a coffee lover, museum goer, and do-it-yourselfer. I'm also a neat freak, although I'm trying to mellow that out a bit as the years go by. I love learning from other people, their stories and expertise. I'm interested in a wide range of subjects from architecture to philosophy to renewable energy. You name it!

I'm enthusiastic about most everything, and make a point to have a positive outlook on life. I enjoy being around people who are passionate about their interests and like to share that with others.

PHILOSOPHY

You get what you give. And try new things!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If the stars align and I am home when you hope to stay, I would love to host you on my couch! On my travels I enjoy meeting up with locals to explore the places they call home. And I'm more than happy to do the same for others wherever I’m living :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am very open to staying with and hosting guests. But I find that meeting up with people just to hang out works more often. I met a fantastic friend in Los Angeles! We spend the day together hiking and chatting. I also met up with 2 interesting people in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and had a great experiences. Tried to couch surf in Fremantle, Australia but it didn't quite work out.

Interests

Travel! People and their stories. Being outdoors. Absorbing new cultures. Art - I'm a huge museum buff, and I try to sketch at least once a week. Architecture. History. Adventure and exploring. Anything that gets my body moving - Rock climbing, hiking, scuba diving, yoga, gymnastics, kayaking. I love getting into a good book with a cup of tea or coffee. A bonfire with friends is one of my favorite ways to spend an evening. If you add wine or beer to anything you'll never hear a complaint from me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteering on Nusa Penida, Bali, I taught English for FPNF (look them up!). The first day of teaching children ages 5-12 we arrived and were showered with flowers! The kids were tripping over themselves to pick beautiful colorful hibiscus and others to place in our hair, pockets, shoes, anywhere they could find. It was the warmest welcome I've ever received.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love chatting about life, I'll provide the beverages to share. I am also a fairly handy around the home due to past work experience - so if you need help I'm happy to do so.
