About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission is to give back as much fun and enthusiasm to the world as the world has given me
ABOUT ME
I was born and raised on beautiful Vancouver Island, British Columbia (if you get the chance, go!) close to Vancouver and Tofino. I love the outdoors, and spend most summers frolicking on the beaches, most winters frolicking on the mountain, and most falls and springs frolicking through the forest....
I am super enthusiastic and love going on any type of adventure- from late night bike rides and skinny dipping to getting lost aimlessly wandering a city taking photos....
PHILOSOPHY
ever changing....
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
hosting, surfing, meeting for coffees or drinks.... just ask me!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
so far everyone that I have stayed with has been amazing, unique, intelligent and full of great stories. Through couchsurfing I have made tons of friends, found a flat, gone to more crazy parties than I can count, and eaten some very interesting foods.
Its funny, people who aren't on couchsurfing always ask me "well, what IF the person is weird/creepy/you get robbed/it sucks/they're boring...??!?!??!" I always ask them, 'well what IF you have the best time of your life?"
I think that the people who are willing to take a chance and trust in humanity a little bit are rewarded by meeting other people who think and feel the same way as they do.

my favs are The Glass Castle, The Outsider, The Liar's Club, the moon and six pence, shantaram
I would normally rather sit around and chat than watch TV or movies... but I am a sucker for intense dramatic films...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the coolest experiences I have travelling was when I was in Cuba. I got a flat tire on my bike and i was in the middle of no where on a long (20km) stretch of road with no sign of any houses, let alone stores. I decided to chill out, and wait for someone to drive past. Sure enough, after 5 minutes a young guy came along on his bike, helped me patch my tire on my bike. We were right next to a beautiful coral reef and the two of us went snorkeling and spear fishing, and caught a delicious little reef fish and cooked it over a fire on the beach, and ate it for lunch. It's funny the connections you make with people when things go wrong....
-snowboarding in Revelstoke, British Columbia. Highest vertical in all of North America
-Surfing in Sayulita, Mexico and having fresh bbq shrimp and coronas when we finished
- dancing on a rock in the water to amazing electronic music at a music festival in Ucluelet, British Columbia
- dancing to salsa music at an underground salsa club in Havana
Teach, Learn, Share
I love being dragged along on crazy adventures with my hosts... so please take me to those crazy underground bars where no tourists go, or to meet your cool friends, or where ever!!!
