ABOUT ME

Variety is the spice of life. I like spontaneity. I want to learn about everything.

I like the outdoors, I work for a National Forest and spend a great deal of my time outside.

I enjoy dance and I spend a lot of my free time doing it. I dance many social partner dances; Salsa, Bachata, Blues, Fusion, various styles of Swing (lindy hop, west coast, balboa) Zouk, Kizomba , Semba, Urban Kiz, and others.

I run half-marathons for kicks-and-giggles. I'm not fast, but if you are up for a run while you are in town I am also game.

I love animals. I don't have any kids, but I like them also.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed in Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Dominican Republic, and the US and it was amazing every time. Can't get that kind of introduction to a place staying in hotels.

I've had the opportunity to meet several of my couchsurfing contacts multiple times, and have had friends of past couchsurfers come through and stay with me as well. I really enjoy these ongoing relationships I have made through this site.

Seeing my own city through the eyes of another has provided new and interesting perspectives. The late night conversations, spur of the moment trips and opportunity to introduce to new people to the places, food, culture, and hobbies that I enjoy has been a treat for me. I'm Looking forward to the next opportunity.

MY HOUSE

I am occasionally able to host. The photos are from my house in LA, but I will post new ones when the Utah house is ready.

There are two dogs in the house, they are both friendly.

TRANSPORTATION

I live in a Suburb of Salt Lake City, car is the easiest way to get here but there is a bus stop next to my house, which connects to various other access routes including the redline UTA TRAX lightrail system and stops by my house every hour between 7am and 7pm.

I like to read, ride motorcycles, water ski, hike, draw, work out, dance (Latin, Kizomba, Zouk, big band swing, blues, zumba, etc), eat, sleep, drive, swim, SCUBA dive, crochet, garden, yoga, work, etc.

I like movies, though I don't watch much TV.

I read everything from historical literature to fantasy. If it is written, I probably want to read it, and I will likely have a lot to say about it after.

My music is pretty limited to things I can dance to, Latin, Afro-Latin, big band swing, blues, I had a western period many years ago.

-Bowron Lakes Provicial Park in BC was a great adventure if you like canoeing.
-If you want to go on a crazy hike, take a walk down Vulcan's throne into the Grand Canyon, just don't take it during the summer.
-Angel's Landing in Zions NP, it is not a hard hike, but wow. Look it up. If you come to Southern Utah you should go.
-Couchsurfing to Japan.
-Fighting wildfire.
