About Me
Hello! I'm Kelsie!
I am a registered nurse at a children's hospital and I am working in a casual position at the moment so I can take off time whenever I feel like travelling (priorities right?!). I love my job because of all the new patients/people I meet and the flexibility. I have been told i'm nice and would probably bring you cookies if you were hosting me for a couple days. I love adventure, meeting new people, nature, swimming, new things, funny stuff, all the good things. I am vegetarian and working on going vegan. I have two dogs and a cat. Annnnd I can't wait to meet all you good people of the world :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I consider myself to be a fairly adventurous person and I definitely have a huge number of places on my list of "places to travel". I like to get the real experience when I travel rather than just the tourist experience. So I like to meet locals, learn local customs, eat traditional food. I LOVE meeting new people, especially other people who love the joy of travelling. I heard about couch surfing from a team leader on a volunteer trip to Australia and it sounded like something I would like to try out. Haven't had much experience with it yet though.
Interests
Swimming/scuba and dancing are probably the top two favorites but all the others are close to follow. And animals and nature aren't really and interest I guess but I love them!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like a big variety of music but usually listen to a combination of the most current music and music from the 70's-80's.
I watch a decent amount of movies but will not know the names of any actors because I have a terrible memory for things like that. Probably like comedies the most. And in that genre I like the comedies that are "funny because they're true".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hmm depends on your perspective of amazing.
I once caught a skittle in my mouth from someone throwing it over four meters away. BAM. Amazing.
I also did a 6 week volunteer trip to Africa (specifically Thika) where I worked at an orphanage. That was a pretty crazy amazing experience.
