ABOUT ME

I'm currently working as a registered nurse wanna-be world traveler, writer, and entrepreneur, hoping to make it all a reality in the near future.

I love meeting new people, especially other cultures, and hearing of their adventures and passions...we all have a story to tell and I love to listen to the stories of others' lives.

I'm a laid-back, fun, free-spirited, respectful, independent, and trustworthy person who simply loves to explore, try new things, and spend time with friends. I have friends who have said I'm courageous, outgoing, adventurous, and inspirational. (I've been known to re-create my life more than once.) I believe in following your dreams.

I want to see the world (especially Europe)...I just have to figure out a way to quit my job as I know it and do it! (Working on it;) )
I have the ability to get along well with all types of people (as long as they are not blatantly rude).

I feel as though I am still on a journey of self-discovery. I'm doing a lot of soul searching these days. We only get one life, only one story...so I want to make it good!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a journey, not a destination...and I'm just trying to learn the process of "becoming" and embrace the journey along the way.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to the couch surfing community and look forward to my first experience! I desire to meet and make friends all over the world. We all have something to give one another and something to learn from one another. Within the near future, I also look forward to hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to the experience, so I'm still figuring it all out, but looking to surf for the first time in the upcoming months.

I enjoy lounging with friends, wine, and good food (I'll try anything!)

Small, intimate concerts are one of my favorite past times.

I love learning and exploring other cultures, and I have an unexplained passion for Italian culture. (If I believed in past lives, I'd think I was Italian at one time!)

I love the ocean...just put me by the water and I'm happy!

I love side-walk cafe's.

I love to read and write.

I love to stay active and fit.

Favorite Movies: Hitch, Failure to Launch, 500 Days of Summer, Cinderella Man, Shawshank Redemption, Under the Tuscan Sun, Eat Pray Love, PS I Love You.

My favorite movies tend to fall into the romantic comedy category (aka "chick flicks"), but I enjoy all types. (except horror...they either freak me out or gross me out!)

Music: I appreciate all types of music; however my favorite is folk rock, blues, soul, and brazilian.
And even though I'm originally from the south, I do NOT typically like country music!

Books: The Alchemist, A Million Miles in a Thousand Years (anything by Paolo Coelho, Donald Miller, or Nicolas Sparks). I also enjoy memoirs, and self-help/spiritual growth type books.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Left my nursing career as I knew it to pursue a job as a stewardess on a private yacht in hopes of seeing the world, without a guarantee I'd actually get a job. Scored a position, but the lifestyle wasn't exactly what I was hoping for! Apparently, I'm prone to stunts like this. I previously sold everything I had (again) and moved to the opposite end of the country without knowing anyone or really ever having been there. It may not seem like a big deal to like-minded CSers, but for this small town girl coming out of her shell, it was huge!
