About Me
Hey there! My name's Kelvin and I'm from Donegal, Ireland. Currently I'm living in the lust Donegal countryside but I'd love nothing more than to visit amazing new spots around the world! I'm a happy, enthusiastic, carefree individual who can't wait to learn new things. But nevertheless I still hold respect for everyone I meet. As I'm still a student I study in Galway city, about 5 hours from home. I live there during the academic year but, as I've said, at the minute I'm live at home in Donegal.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Right now I would love to take the opportunity to make new friends around the world but especially in the countries I will be visiting soon. As a student of NUIG I will be getting involved in the Erasmus programme which allows me to visit France and Spain in the next academic year. More specifically I will be living in La Rochelle in France and Zaragoza in Spain. This website also allows me to find out about events taking place in these cities during my stay as well. I'm really just up for having fun and meeting new people.
Interests
I believe it's almost impossible to not love dogs so clearly that's an interest! But more seriously I do really love art. I studied art for a year in Derry but never really ended up pursuing it as a career. I now study languages, specifically French and Spanish. And truth be told, I love it! I love working in the kitchen, especially baking. During almost every summer since I was 18 I've worked in a local restaurant. But when I'm at home I can really experiment with baking. I love to bake cookies, brownies, cakes, profiteroles, eclairs, cheesecakes, basically you name it! I like to believe that my fashion choices are getting better each day so that brings me to another interest, fashion darling! Honestly it can make you feel so much more confident if you actually enjoy wearing the clothes you buy or make. Fashion and design is everywhere you look, don't kid yourself if you think you can get away from it. When it comes to winding down and relaxing after a long day of work I love nothing more than to play a few video games. Some of my favourites have to be Skyrim, Fallout, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, and Horizon Zero Dawn. Really great games! And lastly I, like most human beings, love music. But I'll talk about that later.

Music, Movies, and Books
As I've said previously, I love music. Some of my favourite artist currently have to be Charli XCX, SOPHIE, Lorde, Brooke Candy, and more recently artist like Janelle Monáe (but really just Dirty Computer - Really fab album), CupcakKe, and Troye Sivan. Really I suppose I just love what's being produced now by young, fresh artists. I just love absolute BOPS! I don't really have a favourite album to be honest but if I had to pick a few I'd say Dirty Computer - Janelle Monáe, Melodrama - Lorde, Pop 2 - Charli XCX, OIL OF EVERY PEARL'S UN-INSIDES - SOPHIE and maybe Emotion - Carly Rae Jepsen.
I do have a favourite movie though and that would have to be Kill Bill vol. 1 and 2. So I guess 2 favourite movies.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm happy to share my knowledge with anyone I meet.
I'd love to expand my knowledge of the French and Spanish languages and cultures and in return I will share with you mine. I grew up learning English and I'm completely fluent now. I do wish I could say I'm fluent in Irish but unfortunately all I can say is "may I use the bathroom" so if you're interested in learning that then I'm your guy.
