Overview
About Me
I’m a Nairobi-based tour guide and digital professional passionate about connecting people, cultures, and opportunities. I studied at Presbyterian University and have built my career around communication, travel, and empowering others through knowledge sharing.
As a tour guide, I enjoy showcasing Kenya’s rich culture, wildlife, and hidden gems to visitors from around the world. I’m fluent in French and Swahili, and I’m currently learning German, Arabic, and Chinese to better engage with global communities. I believe language is more than communication — it’s connection.
Beyond tourism, I’m also interested in freelancing, digital skills, and creating opportunities that empower young people. I enjoy meaningful conversations, cultural exchange, and learning from different perspectives.
I’m open to hosting guests and connecting with people who value growth, culture, and collaboration.
If you want something slightly more casual and warm (since this seems like a hosting profile), here’s another version:
About Me
Hi! I’m Kelvin, a friendly and open-minded tour guide based in Nairobi, Kenya. I love meeting new people and sharing stories about our culture, wildlife, and everyday life here.
I speak French and Swahili fluently and I’m currently learning German, Arabic, and Chinese because I enjoy challenging myself and connecting with people from different backgrounds.
When I’m not guiding, I’m working online, exploring new digital opportunities, or learning something new. I value respect, curiosity, and positive energy.
If you’re visiting Nairobi, I’d be happy to share insights, good conversation, and a welcoming experience.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m Couchsurfing because I believe the world feels smaller and kinder when we open our homes and hearts to each other.
As a tour guide, I already love sharing Kenya with visitors, but Couchsurfing allows me to connect on a deeper, more personal level. I enjoy good conversations, learning about different cultures, and creating memories beyond typical tourism.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I’ve done is start empowering young people in my community through digital skills and freelancing training. Seeing someone gain confidence and earn their first income online because of something I taught them has been incredibly fulfilling.
Teach, Learn, Share
One amazing thing I’ve done is create spaces where I can teach, learn, and share at the same time. As a tour guide and digital skills trainer in Nairobi, I’ve had the opportunity to teach others about culture, online opportunities, and personal growth — while also learning from every person I meet.
I believe knowledge grows when it’s shared. Whether it’s language, travel experiences, or life lessons, I’m always open to exchanging ideas and perspectives.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share stories and insights about Kenyan culture, wildlife, and local life in Nairobi and beyond. As a tour guide, I love storytelling and meaningful conversations.
I can also share language exchange — I speak French and Swahili fluently and I’m always happy to practice or teach. If you’re curious about Africa, travel, or digital freelancing, I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned.
Most importantly, I bring respect, positive energy, and genuine curiosity. I enjoy cooking together, exploring local spots, and having deep conversations about life, culture, and growth.
