I'm an easy going guy that loves to explore, tramp, climb and enjoy the little things in life. I love to cook, no matter what the circumstances are (I especially like to cook in your kitchen, since I hate cleaning the mess :-p ).
I'm not a party animal, but I enjoy a special beer or good whiskey in a pub.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One wonderful night I was in Umbria, Italy, with a friend of mine. We were camping on a bivouac field on a high plain, where it was so nice and quiet. After a wonderful dinner we prepared ourselves, we fell asleep outdoors under the nightsky full of stars. It was just perfect.

On another holiday to Italy, I was enjoying reading a book on a really calm and grassy city wall, with a backpack, a plastic bag and a stove on which I prepared lunch next to me. At a certain moment some kids (5,7 and 8 years old) came running up the stairs of the wall and yelled in dutch: "Look mommy, that tramp has a bag of the supermarket next to our house". Mommy was really embarressed, but I had a talk with the kids for about half an hour about how I spend my holiday without a tent, sleeping outdoors. They were really fascinated by it, and the parent kind of understood the fun of it as well. Those kids were my heroes.
