About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm 5'8" and about 150 lbs. I have sandy colored hair and blue eyes. As you can tell, I can be quite sarcastic and often try my best to find flaws and make fun of them. But really, it's all in fun and I try to be light-hearted about it. I enjoy soccer and volleyball, and really enjoy golf, but most of my free time is spent on the computer, absorbing any and all information about my favorite baseball team, the Oakland A's (any Angels, Red Sox or Yankees fans, don't talk shit). As you can also see, I am pretty loose-lipped when it comes to profanity; a side effect that has rubbed off on me from working in the construction industry. But I have held more white collar jobs as well (not that being a contractor is not a white collar job, I mean it's not like I'm a laborer swinging a hammer). I have worked as a shoe salesman at Nordstrom so I am a fairly familiar with the stylings of male feet.

PHILOSOPHY

Live with no regrets. (Sometimes I have trouble living by own philosophy, but my second personal philosophy is that philosophies are for preaching to others, not for living by yourself, but I still try).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I honestly haven't done too much past the $25 donation to be verified. I probably need to work on that a bit.

Interests

As you can see from my "about me" section, I am a huge sports fan, and even though I focus on the A's I stay pretty up to date with news from around the world in all kinds of sports. I am also pretty into shoes and fashionable footwear. I guess I'm also into construction, but that is more academic, not really a free time thing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to name them all but I'll hit the highlights.

Music: Radiohead, Bloc Party, Pink Floyd
Books: The Miracle of Castel di Sangro (a must read for any soccer fan), A Heart-Breaking Work of Staggering Genius

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm... It's hard to think of one on the spot, but just last week I was waiting in line to get into a bar and the girl in front of me dropped some cash. It had to be at least $80 in the gangster roll, and no one really saw it but me. So I picked it up, tapped her on the shoulder and returned it. My friend called me crazy, asked how I could do that; I thought it would be commonplace with most people. But maybe that qualifies as amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't really know what to put here... I know how to ride a bike and drive a manual transmission. I'm glad to teach other people that stuff. If I host you I would be totally down to show you around San Luis Obispo. But I don't really know what handy random knowledge I have.
