About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission is to be strong enough to know when I've had enough, and top be sensitive enough to know when I could be pushing myself more.
ABOUT ME
I am generous with my time and resources and believe that I understand how much shelter and food can mean to somebody on the road. Having informally surfed around my own country and been hosted in the U.S. on various bike tripping adventures. As for me, I like meeting new people and would particularly appreciate anyone who speaks French to come visit me and let me talk to them in my broken French. That said, I'm looking forward to hosting folks along their way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I travel a fair bit, a few months of every year and I often accept peoples' hospitality while on the road. A bed, a couch, some food, some tips about where to go, as a traveler I know that little things go a long way. So when I am at home, I'm more than happy to host people like you!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
As stated before, I have been hosted many times over the past few years, although actually never before by a CS host, officially. I have been hosted by touring cyclist hosts on warmshowers.org, something akin to CS that touring cyclists should definitely look into.
Interests
I am a cyclist, rock climber, student-type human. I like hiking and camping, long-distance touring and planning my next adventure. I'd be into going climbing or just exploring with folks who come through time, given that I have the time. Between us my partner and I have a fair bit of bike repair skills so if there are any issues with a certain two wheeled friend you know, maybe we can help.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read a fair bit, right now I'm reading Sistah Vegan by A. Breeze Harper- a compilation of self-identified Black women who eat a vegan diet talking about race/ racism, health, bodies, sexuality- well, I'm not done it yet. But highly recommended reading for people interested in politicizing food issues.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When my partner and I biked through Washington, Oregon and California this summer we were able to bike through the Avenue of Giants, an extended protected area of old growth redwoods. These trees live to be over 2000 years old, and their miles are interconnected for miles underground. I felt so humbled by just being near them that I realized how short one little human lifetime is.. that was amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know basic bike repair skills and teach about bike touring basics. I can organize conferences... I can read really fast. I can edit other people's work, I can do public speaking. I can plan a course.
