I have been living/working in China for nearly four years and recently left my job to travel for 6 months. Originally from the US, I really enjoy living in Asia and experiencing a different part of the world.

Traveling to new countries/cities and experiencing different cultures is one of my favorite things to do. I often participate in Ice hockey tournaments as a way to do that. The past several years I have also been very active in the Ice Hockey community in Shanghai.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After working in China for nearly 4 years, I recently left my job in September and am taking the next 6 months to travel around Asia! Making new friends when you travel always impacts your experience. Whether it’s an old friend or new friend, it’s incredible to have someone to guide or show you things you wouldn’t experience on your own.

In the next few months, I plan to travel to Korea, Japan, Indonesia, western China, Beijing, and several other places I am currently unsure of.
